Encompassing the area between Dyster and the forest to the west, Vaas' pirate camp is what you'd expect of a guerrilla dugout - it's dirty, it's uncomfortable, it's loud, and it's not an ideal place to find yourself in. Tents and other structures (very few actually finished) are ramshackle, offering little privacy; sleeping accommodations are the few bare mattresses lying around or whatever can be scrounged together for a nest. Food is lifted from robbed travelers on the main road and distributed evenly, but a small subset of the pirates have become regular cannibals thanks to Vaas' insatiable appetite for souls.

Just to be safe, its many red banners make it impossible to miss, even at a distance; should anyone wander too far off the main road, the forest nearer to them is tagged with red cloth to mark the edges of their territory. Anyone who enters uninvited does so at their own risk, and there is a strict no-tolerance rule for any sort of violence within the camp's boundaries. Starting or engaging in a fight is punished harshly. Exact punishments depending on Vaas' mood (or the mood of whoever he's put in charge while he's gone), but amputation is the most common. Second-time offenders and thieves are killed on the spot.

The pirates are working in their free time to build a proper cockfighting ring, if you're into that.

There is also a budding human trafficking operation, but dealing mainly in soulless bodies rather than actual living people. Monsters are welcome to purchase partial or entire corpses at a somewhat reasonable price, but seriously, it's probably a better idea to go kill someone yourself.

There are cages. They're few in number and can only hold humans (and relatively weak ones at that), but you should still probably stay out of them.

Vaas has his own room near the center of camp, identifiable by the eyes painted everywhere. You should probably stay out of here too.

Vaas is the current leader, and is generally well-liked by his people. Despite the size of the camp, there are currently only 10 to 15 pirates altogether. There's not really much to do or see here, unless you like hanging out with grubby criminals.

Or meth.

The main source of income for Vaas and his affiliates, the meth lab is in a small dugout at the far end of the camp. The smell pervades the entire surrounding area when the wind is wrong, and only two pirates in protective gear are at work at any one time - the operation is small, but reasonably well-supplied, and guarded religiously at all times. Explosions are uncommon, but still happen from time to time.

The quality of their product is low, but there's a steady production (no longer toxic thanks to some hard work), and the stuff is relatively cheap - for the meantime. The weed side of the operation is largely handled by Gamzee Makara, although the pirates cover selling and moving the stuff when necessary.
